Chittara – Rangoli Competition

Rangoli, an ancient and cherished Indian tradition, holds profound cultural and spiritual significance. During festivals, intricate rangoli designs adorns the entrance of most houses across India. It is believed to welcome prosperity and good luck into homes.

The Conference Hall of St Agnes PU College, came alive with a burst of colours as students gathered to participate in the Rangolicompetition, Chittara at 8 am on 20th September 2023. The competition saw an enthusiastic participation from both I and II PUC students. Each team comprised of two members. The teams worked tirelessly for one and a half hours, carefully selecting and blending colours to meticulously craft their rangoli designs. The absence of a theme, coupled with the exclusive use of rangolicolours led to a visually stunning array of designs that left a lasting impression on all who viewed it.

MrsSupriya, Lecturer in Physics and MrsShobha, Lecturer inBiologywere the judges. After much deliberation, the judges selected the winning teams based on overall appearance and appeal, creativity, neatness, colour combination and design.
