Girl Child Day

“In the eyes of every girl lies the hope for a brighter tomorrow”

Girls when nurtured with love and opportunity can grow into mighty trees that provide shade for all. Let’s empower them to be the change-makers and leaders of the future.

St Agnes PU College celebrated Girl Child Day on October 30, 2023. Ms.Kaveri T, KAS, Labour Officer was the guest of honour. Ms.Shamitha and Ms.Venishia hosted the porgramme. Ms.Ruth welcomed and introduced the Chief Guest. The occasion began with a prayer song followed by a dance drama depicting the importance of girl child. The chief guest MsKaveri T spoke on the importance of girl child education and also told the students about the various competitive exams under the government sectors. She encouraged the students to answer them and to never stop dreaming high.

To continue the mission of our founder Venerable Mother Veronica of educating and empowering girls, scholarships were distributed to the 11 needy students under the aegis of the Abhaya Forum headed by DrTressie Menezes.

Ms.Nisarga proposed the vote of thanks. Mrs.Preema and Ms Carol were the convenors of the programme.
