Barahachathurya – Kannada Essay Writing Competition
St Agnes P.U College hosted Barahachathurya – a Kannada Essay Writing Competition on Wednesday August 16th. The event provided a unique platform for participants to showcase their writing skills and express their thoughts in Kannadaas well as promoting and nurturing the literary talent in the language.
The topics of the essays were based on contemporary social issues. For II year P.U.C students the topic was -
‘ಮಾದಕವ್ಯಸನನಿರ್ಮೂಲನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯುವಜನತೆಯಪಾತ್ರ’. For I P.U.C’s the topic was - ‘ಪ್ರವಾಹದಭೀಕರತೆ’.
The competition garnered enthusiastic participation from both I and II P.U.C.
The event served as a platform for aspiring writers to showcase their talent who share a passion for the Kannada language. The judging process was conducted with utmost fairness and impartiality by Mrs Suvasini from department of Biology and Mrs Shailaja from department of Kannada.
The evaluation criteria was based on introduction to the topic, description and concluding points. Neat, clear and errorless handwriting was also one of the judging criteria’s.
